De vet at det er nå de kan få godt betalt for vannkraften. Selv om kullkraften er billigere, så er det ofte gasskraften som setter den endelige prisen i markedet. Fallende gasspris bidrar til at prisforventningene for strømprisen også er fallende i Europa.</p><p>Gasslagrene holder seg fortsatt godt over normale nivåer i Europa, og tilgangen på gass fra andre steder enn Russland, er også god. Nylig gjenåpnet gassterminalen Freeport i Texas, USA.
